Up gradation in technology for the production and utilization of Bio-gas has been a interesting subject for the every one concerned with the renewable energy, green house gases, waste management etc. in last many years. Days have gone when one only thinks of cow dung as the only source of bio gas. The gas generation is now possible from industrial effluents, agricultural residues, night soil , urban solid waste, starch rich inputs and many more . The gas generated has a very good calorific value also. |

Bio Gas Plant

Until the simplest use of Bio- gas is for thermal applications heating , cooking and power generation by means of dual fuel engines (35% diesel + 65% bio gas at full load and ideal conditions). % age of diesel consumption increases at lesser loads in such engines. Now the engines with 100% Bio-gas operated prime movers suitable for power generaion, irrigation , rural electrificatiojn are available with prakash Diesels Pvt. Ltd. AGRA . The prime movers are 04 stroke , spark ignition , water cooled heavy duty with powered to operate with gases obtained form BIO-METHANE plants . Engines with 2 to 15 hp output will also be available very soon with us. |

We also advice that the biogas plants should be equpped with appropriate scrubber and filtration systems for the better performance and service of engine. |

SPECIAL FEATURES |

A specially designed automatic (adjustable as per gas properties ) air / gas controller and mixing systems provided to take care of efficient, smooth working of engine from no-load to full-load . These engines operates smoothly at vast conbinations of bio-gases at negative suction up to 80mm of water column hence root blower is not required and gases can be feed as it is from gas plant.
Switching over to the desing of mixture to negative suction of gas has resolved the comlicated Air mixing system to a very simple system , This also minimizes the vaste of bio gas due to less gas supply at lesser load conditions as well as wastage of gases due to incomplete combustion. Engines speed stability at all load if far more better than dual fuel engines. This also illuminates the requirement of power to run , the root blower before starting the engine, hence suitable for areas without electricity also.
This mixture has the facility to adjust the air / fuel ratio as per the requirement of gas. In case, if the methane percentage is less, it can be set manually in even running conditions and once set can be used in full bandwidth of engine capacity. |

The
compression ratio is set at 13.5 ( 0.5) : 1. This ratio is ratio
higher than the normal gas engines and used for natural gas. The
main reason is to provide adequate pre ignition temperature with
in the combustion chamber. It has been observed that the engines
operates satisfactorily with gases having methane from 45% to
85% . The higher compression ratio also results in better
efficiency and higher load taking capacity. |

A specially designed piston with thee rings and galleries faster oil drainge is provided. This reduces the lubricant oil consumption especially at lesser loads. |

The option can be provided to trap the waste heat from engine water jacket and exhaust for heating the digester tank. In case, the temperature is not enough for the efficient anaerobic digestive process. Thus the efficiency of the system can be further improved. |

A specially designed housing assembled with MICO RSV (Class A-2) Mechanical Governor fitted on engine. This is a simple mechanical governor and can easily maitained and adjusted by normal technicians. Nearly, constant speed is achieved with the governor and in case of any speed change required can be adjusted by the governor . These Governor are more easy and user friendly than the electronic governor. |

The 100% Bio-Gas generators are also equipped with a complete Panel with MCB / MCCB , volt meters, ammeters, frequency meters, in-comming out going terninals hour meter and phase indicator lamps. |

The Engines & alternators are mounted coupled , aligned on a common rigid frame having provision for anti vibration mounting and holes. |

The bio gas engine coupled with A. C. Generator (Alternator ) can be used for electricity generation. This generators can be used in any applications where any electricity is required . Specially for rural areas with low levels this can be used running submersible pumps for irrigations in day time and for lights during the night. |
