The group was established by Mr. Ram Prakash Garg in 1960 as a trading company and later started manufacturing of diesel engines and pumps in 1975. The production of generator sets was started in 1982.

'PRAKASH' group is having a modern, very well equipped, ISO:9001-2000 and ISO:14001-2004 CERTIFIED unit for manufacturing of diesel engines, water pumps, pump sets, generating sets, alternators and their spare. Group is having following namely units. :

All of our products are  as  per  ISO,  BS and BIS standards and have highly been appreciated for their design, reliability, durability and best quality for long lasting & exquisite performance. Our group is having all modern facilities for advance designing ,research & development comprising of equipments from world renowned  manufactures.  Highly sophisticated and precise machines, SPM's & modern electronic and analog measuring and testing equipments at our units is one of the strength behind our organization.

Group  is  having  a  workforce  of  more  than  500  dedicated  employees comprising a team of more than 40 qualified engineers, 16  professionals  with more  20 years  experience, 12 professionals with more 10 years experience and 12 professionals with more 5 years experience.

Apart from  conventional diesel  engines/gensets, we had indigenously developed Natural and L P Gas engines of world class technology and are also manufacturing engines for Biomass and producer gases.

Group’s annual production capacity of diesel engine/ generators is more than 50,000 units with daily production capacity of 150 engines and 150 AC generators.
